Printing and Exporting Data

Below you will find documentation on how to print or export the output tables of our data services. Please note that these directions may vary slightly depending on which of the many browsers available you have decided to use.

Printing the Data Table

For some data services, the table is too wide to fit on a portrait-oriented page, so to print it you must use landscape orientation. The simplest method to print in landscape orientation is to copy the table portion of the page, and paste it into your favorite word processor or text editor and print from there.

Export the Table into a Spreadsheet

Open your favorite text editor, then copy the numerical part of the table (i.e., do not copy the table headings) from your browser. Next, paste it into the text editor and save the data as a text file.

In Excel for Windows, select Data on the menu bar, then From Text. Next, select your saved text file. Finally, choose fixed width in the dialog box. Make sure to change the appropriate settings in Excel so the data is correctly formatted for you (e.g. keeping leading zeroes, times including colons, etc.)

In Excel for Mac, select Import from the File menu, then Text File. Next select your saved text file. Make sure to change the appropriate settings in Excel so the data is correctly formatted for you (e.g. keeping leading zeroes, times including colons, etc.)
